Meet Dr Rashid Essop
Dr Essop's passion has always been helping people achieve healthy, confident smiles.
After completing both his commerce and dentistry degrees with multiple distinctions, he spent years in private practice while teaching and supervising dental students at the University of Pretoria. He has published scientific research locally and internationally and later completed his specialist training in Orthodontics with distinction.
But qualifications are only part of the picture.
What matters most is that every patient feels heard, respected, and cared for. Whether you're considering braces for your child or clear aligners for yourself, you'll receive individual attention and a treatment plan designed around your unique needs.

Meet your Johannesburg Orthodontist
Dr Essop was born and raised in Pretoria. Dr Essop completed his BCom degree in 2002 with multiple distinctions. Immediately thereafter he pursued his passion and enrolled to study dentistry at the University of Pretoria which he completed with multiple distinctions and awards. Dr Essop completed his community service year at the South African Military Health Service. He thereafter entered private practice while always being attached to the university as a part-time lecturer and clinical supervisor teaching dental students. Dr Essop has published scientific articles in both local and international journals. After 9 years in private practice, Dr Essop was admitted to specialize in Orthodontics at the University of Pretoria which, after four years of full-time study completed his final exam with distinction.
Dr Essop is a member of the South African Society of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists.
